• Welcome

    Glad you are here

First Baptist Melbourne is a caring congregation that welcomes everyone. We want you to discover the joy that we share when we come together to worship God in spirit and in truth. If you are planning to visit on a Sunday morning, here are some hints to help you find your way around and know what to expect.

Please click the little boxes below or scroll to the left or to the right for more information on visiting First Baptist!

  • Visiting?

Making Disciples Here & Everywhere for the Glory of God.

On your first visit, look for our “Visitor Parking” spaces at the west and north sides of the building. If you have small children you may want to park on the east side of the building by our preschool entrance for your convenience. Friendly folks will be ready to greet you at all of our major entrances and escort you to the sanctuary for worship. They can also help you identify a small group Bible study class where you can connect with others, and escort you to that class’ meeting location.

  • Worship

Making Disciples Here & Everywhere for the Glory of God.

Worshiping our Savior together is a core value for us and is a highlight of our week! Our two morning services are identical in style and are led by our Praise Team, Worship Choir and Orchestra. Because we believe God has spoken to us through His Word, we also place great emphasis in our services on faithful Bible preaching.

  • Children

Making Disciples Here & Everywhere for the Glory of God.

First Baptist is a family church and we want to do everything we can to help your children and students connect with God and grow in their faith. We think that happens best when families worship together with their children 1st grade and up. (Don’t worry, we know kids make noise!) While parents attend adult Bible study, we have exciting classes available for children of all ages. Students in 7th-12th grade typically attend the first worship service with their families (9 AM) and meet together in our student center for Bible study during the latter worship hour (10:40 AM). Hosts are available at all the entrances to help you navigate the halls and find these various locations.

  • Location

Making Disciples Here & Everywhere for the Glory of God.

We are a body of believers that meets in two locations in Melbourne and Palm Bay. You’ve been reading about our Melbourne campus located at 3301 Dairy Road in Melbourne. Click on the map to the right for driving directions to our Melbourne Campus.

To learn more about our Bay West Church campus meeting in Palm Bay, click on the Bay West Campus link on the top right of this page or visit baywestchurch.org . If you need further help in locating either campus, please feel free to call us at 321.723.0561 or email us at reception@fbcmel.org . We look forward to your visit and hope you find First Baptist a place you can call home!

Young Married

Whether with children or without, whether in school or working (or both!), our young married ministry is a place where all young married couples in their twenties and thirties can come together. Our Young Married Ministry exists to come alongside young married couples and encourage them in their two most important relationships—their relationship with the Lord and their relationship with one another.

Our ministry to and with young married couples is designed to build authentic community between believers, with the intention of living Gospel-centered lives that will impact others for Jesus!

We encourage all of our young married couples to follow Christ in the following three areas:

1Connect with a Life Group—we have small groups for young married couples on Sunday morning and in homes throughout the week. These groups are a great place to build relationships and grow in Christ in a small group setting.

2. Engage in Worship—there are worship opportunities available to young married couples at both our Melbourne and Bay West Campuses where you can worship with believers of all ages.

3. Serve in Ministry—we encourage all of our single adults to identify their spiritual gifts and to use those gifts by serving in the body of Christ. In addition to ongoing service opportunities in the various ministries of the church, our Young Adult Life Groups partner with local ministries in serving our community.  Our church also offers many different opportunities to serve on a national and international basis every year.

From time to time, we have special events within our Young Married Ministry.  Visit our Special Events page to find out more!
