  • Visiting?

Making Disciples Here & Everywhere for the Glory of God.

On your first visit, look for our “Visitor Parking” spaces at the west and north sides of the building. If you have small children you may want to park on the east side of the building by our preschool entrance for your convenience. Friendly folks will be ready to greet you at all of our major entrances and escort you to the sanctuary for worship. They can also help you identify a small group Bible study class where you can connect with others, and escort you to that class’ meeting location.

  • Worship

Making Disciples Here & Everywhere for the Glory of God.

Worshiping our Savior together is a core value for us and is a highlight of our week! Our two morning services are identical in style and are led by our Praise Team, Worship Choir and Orchestra. Because we believe God has spoken to us through His Word, we also place great emphasis in our services on faithful Bible preaching.

  • Children

Making Disciples Here & Everywhere for the Glory of God.

First Baptist is a family church and we want to do everything we can to help your children and students connect with God and grow in their faith. We think that happens best when families worship together with their children 1st grade and up. (Don’t worry, we know kids make noise!) While parents attend adult Bible study, we have exciting classes available for children of all ages. Students in 7th-12th grade typically attend the first worship service with their families (9 AM) and meet together in our student center for Bible study during the latter worship hour (10:40 AM). Hosts are available at all the entrances to help you navigate the halls and find these various locations.

WCIF 106.3

WCIF - Ministry to Community

One unique ministry of First Baptist is our radio station that operates 24 hours a day from studios located in the office wing of the church. WCIF (Where Christ Is First) is at 106.3 on the fm radio dial right in the middle of secular sounds where many have come across it and started listening. The station is owned and operated by FBC Melbourne and has been in existence since 1980. It now reaches 20 communities, parts of Orlando and at least two hours of travel along I-95. From the letters we get and the public contact we have we can tell God is using the broadcast to let His Word do it’s work in countless lives.

One of the main comments we get as we meet the public at various events is that we make sure we tell the church how much they appreciate having the programs and music available. They realize this is a labor of love grounded in the church.

WCIF is a faith ministry that relies on listeners’ gifts for all expenses and nothing comes from the annual budget of the church. But as you might expect the people of FBC are enthusiastic in setting an example for others to follow. FBC has more contributors to WCIF than any other church in the community even though the Christian community contributes around 90% of our budget. The station is well received and has helped many who are seeking a church home consider and settle at FBC.

Although we only have a full time staff of 4 with our use of volunteers we are able to do the work of a much larger station. Our volunteers work at almost everything from on air to helping us get the monthly newsletter mailed to helping answer telephones during our annual sharathon. Anyone who would like to spend some time with us in a volunteer capacity should contact our Operations Administrator, Martha Root at 725-WCIF (9243).

May God bless you as you listen and all those you invite to hear God’s Word on WCIF!  Learn more about WCIF and listen online at www.wcif.com

p.s. Many have begun to listen because they’ve seen our bumper sticker and encountered a courteous driver.
