I was raised in a Christian home in the Washington, D.C. area where I came to know Christ as my Savior at a young age. I surrendered to God’s call on my life at a youth conference in Oswego, NY when I was 14 years old. From that time on, my preparation and passion was to serve Christ and His Church with my gifts and talents and to instill in others a deep desire to worship the Living God.
Prior to coming to FBC Melbourne in August 2003, I served churches in Virginia, Maryland, Kentucky, and North Carolina. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Sacred Music from Liberty University and went on to attend The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky completing the Master of Church Music there. I later returned to the classroom to complete a Master of Arts in Religion from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary and to teach the church music courses at my Alma Mater, Liberty University. Most recently, I was honored to be the first graduate to receive the Doctor of Ministry in Worship Leadership degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in December 2010.
I share my life with my wife, Le Ann, whom I met my very first day of college at Liberty University. We have three wonderful children, Ethan Noah, Evan Nicholas and Emma Noel. In my spare time I enjoy reading, teaching, watching The Closer, and our family’s miniature wire-haired dachshund, Rudy.
