Minister of Education and Senior Adults

I was born and raised in West Point, Mississippi and became a Christian at ten years old at West End Baptist Church. I met my wife Nancy at First Baptist, Saltillo, and the Lord blessed us with three sons – Nathan, Joseph, and Andrew. I attended Mississippi College (B.A. in Religion, 1980), Southern Seminary in Louisville, KY (Master of Divinity in Religious Education, 1983), and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (Doctor of Ministry in Evangelistic Church Growth, 1997).

I have been privileged to serve in several churches and truly blessed by each one: First Baptist Church, LaPlace, LA, 1993-2000; First Baptist Church, Crystal Springs, MS, 1986-1993; Parkway Baptist Church, Tupelo, MS, 1984-1986; LaGrange Christian Church, LaGrange, KY, 1982-1983; First Baptist Church, Saltillo, MS, 1981; and Enterprise Baptist Church, Enterprise, MS, 1980.

I see my role in ministry as “an equipper of the saints to do the work of ministry.” (Eph. 4:12-13). My primary areas of responsibility are with Sunday School, outreach and evangelism, discipleship, and senior adults. I also work with our men’s, women’s, and host ministries.
