First Baptist Melbourne Weekday Preschool is a ministry of First Baptist Church of Melbourne and a representative of God’s love to preschool children and their families.
Bob Couch said, “Weekday education is ministry in action. It is Christian people showing the example of Jesus through teaching and caring for the needs of boys and girls.”
We provide a safe, clean, quality, and developmentally appropriate preschool with small classes for young children 2-5 years of age with a well-trained, loving, Christian staff. Our curriculum includes Bible stories and thoughts appropriate to preschoolers’ level of understanding, as well as small and large group activities that permit each child to progress and enjoy success emotionally, socially, physically, mentally, and spiritually. Our staff provides positive guidance that encourages problem solving to manage children’s behavior. We tell the children by our words and actions that God loves them, He made them special, He has a special plan for their life, and we love and care about them.
We base our curriculum on the Wee Learn Curriculum published by LifeWay Church Resources. It is one of the eight curriculums recently approved for School Readiness Providers. The 3- and 4-Year-Old Curriculums have undergone research and have been cross-referenced with Florida’s School Readiness Performance Standards. We offer 2-day 2-year-old classes (6 children per class), 3-day and 4-day 3-year-old classes (8 children per class), and 3-day and 5-day 4 year-old-classes (10 children per class). We are open from 9 am-12 pm. Our preschool begins in August and ends in May. We require a non-refundable deposit and a completed enrollment card to hold your child’s place in our preschool.
