I was born and raised in Cheyenne, Wyoming in a very religious home. After high school I went on to college in 1958. In 1960 I enlisted in the Air Force. A few good things happened while I was in the service. I studied electronics and enjoyed my work but best of all I met and married Joanna in 1962. In 1968 the Lord made me realize my need for Him and lovingly brought me into His kingdom thanks to my family and His messenger Jack Van Impe.
We have three lovely daughters, three wonderful son-in-laws and the finest three grandsons you could ever imagine. They all live within ten minutes of us so we see a lot of them.
I am a graduate of Moody Bible Institute (1973), with a major in Broadcasting and of course a minor in Bible. Our family was with The Bible Broadcasting Network for 9 ½ years. We were with them in High Point, N.C. and Atlanta, Ga. before being called to WCIF in 1983.
One of my gifts is encourager. I feel like Paul must have when he wrote, “My aim is to raise hopes by pointing the way to life without end. This is the life God promised long ago – and He doesn’t break promises!” (Titus 1:1,2).
And, in radio, God has put the perfect tool in our hands to reach every home in our community. It is my goal to keep the clear light of God’s Word shining so people will have someplace to focus as the world gets more confusing.
“Summing it all up friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious – the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized.” (Philippians 4:8,9 - The Message Bible)
