This course is an essential step for any student who wants to progress in the various disciplines of the visual arts. It is designed to progressively teach the principles and elements of drawing. In a fun and practical environment, the student will learn to draw objects, landscapes, and animals applying perspective and proportion, also using value (highlighting and shading) to achieve dramatic results in monochromatic artwork.

This course is designed for those students who have drawing experience and are ready to discover and experiment with color using watercolor pencils, pastels and colored pencils. Students will also further develop skills in still life, nature, landscape and will be introduced to portrait basics.

Introduction to Painting |

Discover the creative and technical versatility of acrylic painting. This course emphasizes experimentation with acrylic techniques as well as composition, color mixing and layering, color harmony, design and brush techniques. In a methodic, step-by-step process, instructor will guide students in the exploration of still life and landscape genres.
**This course is a pre-requisite to the Advanced Painting class. **

This course is designed for those students who have painting experience. Participants will learn, by painting with selected limited palettes, expressive and communicational qualities of subject, composition principles, and use of value to structure imagery.
During the last part of this course students will explore basics on watercolor painting. They will learn to manipulate and control the spontaneity of this medium applying everything they have learned about color theory.
