There is Hope Foundation will sponsor it’s 30th Mission Trip to Transylvania, Romania on June 17 - 30th. In partnering with First Baptist Melbourne, we have team members from Florida, Georgia, Alabama and South Carolina.
The two week trip is centered in assisting 40 churches in Bistrita/Nasaud county thru the leadership of First Baptist Church, Bistrita. Team members have opportunity to work along side their Romanian brothers and sisters in preaching, teaching, presenting music and testimonies. Opportunities are also available for working with city leaders and medical teams. Construction will be done on “Camp Hope,” a new children’s camp/retreat center being built for the church’s use.
Our main emphasis in 2010 is to reach more unchurched children with the Gospel.
Team members will minister in the “American School of Heroes” (Vacation Bible School) at
4 elementary schools, with 800 to 1,000 children in attendance. We need teachers, craft workers, recreation leaders and even snack helpers. Everyone is given a chance to minister in some way - no special talents are needed - just that you love children and want to bless them in the Name of Jesus.
Cost of the 13 day trip is $3,000. The team will fly together from Orlando to Bucharest, Romania and then drive by bus through the beautiful Romanian countryside to the Carpathian mountains of Transylvania. The last two days will be spent with a tour of Brasov and Bucharest before returning home.
