I was born in Columbus, Georgia and my family moved to Palm Bay when I was eight years old, so I basically grew up in Palm Bay. I was raised in a wonderful Christian home, and have been a believer since the age of seven. I am the daughter of a music minister and a musical mother so my life has always been filled with music. After graduation from Palm Bay High School I packed my bags and moved to Mississippi to study voice. While attending the University of Southern Mississippi, I was given many different opportunities to serve the Lord. I served in various ministry internships with music and youth and worked part time as a youth minister for five years. After I graduated with my BA in Music, in 2005, with plans to pursue a career in music, I returned home and was immediately introduced to the wonderful man that I now call my husband, Jason. Jason and I hope for children in the future, but right now we are Mom and Dad to our miniature Daschund named Trooper.
Prior to joining the staff at Bay West in September, 2009, I served four years as the Minister to Students at Lake Crest Community Baptist Church in Melbourne. I have always had a heart for teenagers possibly because I still act like one. But as my life verse reads "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11-13, the Lord had different plans than my own and I felt Him leading me into Children’s ministry. So here I am as the Children’s Leader at the new Bay West campus and I can’t wait to experience what He has in store for Bay West.
