    the good life

    11  Dear friends, I urge you, as aliens and strangers in the world, to abstain from sinful desires, which war against your soul.
    12  Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.
    1 Peter 2:11-12

    Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds,
    because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.
    Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
    James 1:2-4

    A “good life” is much less about the “good” things that happen to me, but much more about the transformation of the things in my life into “good”.

    12  I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.
    13  I can do everything through him who gives me strength.
    Philippians 4:12-13

    A “good life” is much less about how I am perceived, as it is about how people perceive God based on my life.
