    giving and serving

    “Give and serve generously”

    GIVE
It's a God thing, not just a church thing.

23 “ …so that you may learn to revere the LORD your God always.”
    Deuteronomy 14:23

    9 Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops;
    Proverbs 3:9-10

23  "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices—mint, dill and cummin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former.
    Matthew 23:23

Purpose:  to help us understand and honor God more

    Responsibility breeds privilege

"So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches?"
    Luke 16:11

    SERVE

18  But in fact God has arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. 19  If they were all one part, where would the body be? 20  As it is, there are many parts, but one body.
    1 Corinthians 12:20

We are to look to serve others

    GENEROUSLY

When you consider what Jesus gave up willingly, Jesus was simply the most generous man that has ever lived.

Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:
Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,
    Philippians 2:5-6
