    Answered Prayer

9 “So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
    10
For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
    11
“Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead?
    12
Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion?
    13
If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”
    Luke 11:9-13 (NIV84)

    9
“And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.
    Luke 11:9 (NLT)

    Asking and go on asking
    Seek and go on seeking
    Knock and keep on knocking

    10
For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
    Luke 11:10 (NIV84)

    2 questions

    Who are you praying to?
Are you a follower of Christ?

10  your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
    Matthew 6:10 (NIV84)

Prayer is about getting God’s will done on Earth, not getting my will done in Heaven.

11 “Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead?
    12
Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion?
    13
If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”
    Luke 11:11-13 (NIV84)

God never answers you in the negative.

    God’s two answers:
“Yes, absolutely at the perfect time”
“I have something better for my children.”

God always answer in the positive, but rarely answers in the obvious to you.
