    Act

    1.  Acts of faith rarely ever carry a full explanation with them.

     Isaiah 55:8-9
8 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,"
           declares the LORD.
9 "As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.

     2.  Acts of faith are spawned by clear direction from God that is explicit and specific.

    James 1:5 (NIV)
5 If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him

    James 1:5-7 (CEV)
5 If any of you need wisdom, you should ask God, and it will be given to you. God is generous and won't correct you for asking.
6But when you ask for something, you must have faith and not doubt. Anyone who doubts is like an ocean wave tossed around in a storm.
7-8If you are that kind of person, you can't make up your mind, and you surely can't be trusted. So don't expect the Lord to give you anything at all.

    3.  Acts of faith are not about securing your dignity in the moment, but they are about securing your dignity for all eternity.
    Psalm 25:3
3 No one whose hope is in you
will ever be put to shame...
    1 Peter 5:6-7 (NLT)
    6
So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor.
7 Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.
